After the success of the 2018 National Senior Golf Championship, the event dedicated to golfers aged 45 (for women) and 50 (for men) and older in Vietnam in 2019 will officially take place in 2 days 19-20/04/2019 at West Lakes Golf & Villas (Long An province) An).

After the VGA Cup 2019 event ended not long ago with a convincing victory of the Southern team and attracting a large number of live viewers, another major golf tournament in the 2019 National Amateur tournament system is about to be held this coming April.

Specifically, from April 19 to 20, golf fans in Vietnam will witness exciting matches between experienced golfers within the framework of the 2019 National Senior Championship (Vietnam Senior Championship - VSC 2019).

The 2018 tournament was the first time VSC had the presence of middle-aged and elderly female golfers due to the great demand for participation. This also brings new colors and contributes to the success of the event with the participation of more than 150 golfers.

Therefore, at VSC 2019, VGA continues to maintain the same subjects allowed to register to participate. According to the tournament rules, all golfers participating must be in Amateur status according to the Rules of Amateur Status prescribed by R&A Rules Limited and the United States Golf Association (USGA), and have an official handicap on the VHandicap system.

Without a VHandicap, golfers can only participate in the National Senior Championship (gross points) and not be counted in the results of the Net points tournaments.

After the valid registration process, golfers will be divided into the following groups:

Middle-aged Male Table: Male athletes of Vietnamese nationality, from 50 to 60 years old (born from 01/01/1959 to 31/12/1969), with VHandicap not exceeding 20.0 at the time of registration.

Senior Male Table: Male athletes of Vietnamese nationality, from 60 years old and above (born before 31/12/1958), with VHandicap does not exceed 25.0 at the time of registration.

Middle-aged Female Table: Female athletes of Vietnamese nationality, from 45 to 55 years old (born from 01/01/1964 to 31/12/1974), no VHandicap limit.

Female Senior Division: Female athletes of Vietnamese nationality, 55 years of age or older (born before 31/12/1963), no VHandicap limit.

The tournament will be played in stroke play format (scoring Gross) does not apply

Handicap over 02 rounds of 18 holes for Men's and Women's divisions. The Championship will be decided by stroke results after 36 holes. The winner of the National Senior Championship is the person with the lowest Gross Total score (Men's and Women's divisions) regardless of age when the tournament ends. The winners of the divisions are the people with the lowest Gross Total score or Net Total score (not cutting the maximum negative score) when the tournament ends. The person who has won the Gross prize will not be counted towards the Net prize.
